How to Reach: Delhi – Manali – Rohtang La – Kunzum La - Kaza
Highlights: The fact that "Spiti" means "The Middle Land", i.e. The Land between Tibet and India, would give you a fair amount of idea about the topography. This enigmatic high altitude cold desert valley will give you the ultimate adrenalin rush!

Itinerary
Tour De Spiti – Chandigarh to Chandigarh – Biking Trip

Day 1: Chandigarh
Arrival at Chandigarh. Explore the city beautiful in the evening and after that you will be given the briefing about the trip ahead. Overnight stay at Chandigarh.

Day 2: Chandigarh to Narkanda (200kms) We start early in the morning to travel to the Himalayan town of Narkanda. We will also pass the capital city of Himachal along the way. The camping area lies inside the Himalayan Jungle right close to the Hatu peak which stands at 3400m above sea level. Evening acclimatization walk and Overnight stay in Camps.

Day 3: Narkanda – Chitkul (200kms) Long drive waits, so we start very early. The most happening and picturesque day as we will be visiting mesmerizing Sangla Valley. Chitkul is the last village in Sangla valley. We will be pitching tents here as well.

Day 4: Chitkul – Tabo (75kms) Today we will visit the capital city of Kinnaur district Recong Peo and then we move on towards the Spiti valley. We also pass the beautiful and lonely town of Nako. Himachal part of Movie “Highway” was totally shot along this route. We enter Spiti district after passing Nako. Overnight stay in Guest house/ Hotel.

Day 5: Tabo – Mudd - Kaza (200kms) Tabo to Kaza road will the most happening route of this trip as you will see drastic change in the geographical features. Green mountains will change into rocky ones and then to cold deserts. We will start early so that we can fully enjoy the route and places such as Nako, Tabo Monastery. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 6: Kaza Local Today we will visit world famous Key Monastery. If time and weather permits we will visit Kibber village which is the one of highest inhabited villages in the world. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 7: Kaza – Chandrataal (80kms) We believe that the best place should be left for the last. So, fellow riders start your bike and rush along Kunzum pass to one of the most serene places on earth (Moon Lake, Chandrataal). Do whatever you want to do, take a stroll around the lake, take a dip in the cold water, take photographs or just enjoy the beautiful view of Mother Nature. Overnight Stay in tents.

Day 8: Chandrataal – Manali (120kms) After breakfast, we will drive along the water Naallas which falls on the way to Gramphoo. The roads towards Rohtang are really in bad shape. Now drive along Rohtang Pass to enter the beautiful Kullu valley. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 9: Manali to Chandigarh (300kms) Post breakfast, drive along the NH 22 to get to the city beautiful Chandigarh.

Inclusions:

  • Meal Plan MAP. (11 Breakfast, 11 Dinner)
  • Accommodation in Hotels, Lodges, American Safari Tents on Double/Triple Sharing Basis.
  • Insurance cover of the rider during the ride tenure.
  • First Aid Kit.
  • Backup Vehicle with Mechanic all the way along.

Exclusions:

  • Parking and Permit charges of any kind will be excluded.
  • Fuel excluded.
  • Bike* rental excluded.
  • Rider will be charged for the spare parts such as clutch wire, clutch plates, chain links, engine oil etc. if used during the trip.
  • Personal expense of any kind.
  • Anything not mentioned in the inclusions section.
*Royal Enfield 350cc/500cc and other bikes will be arranged, if required. Standard charges are applicable.

Motorcycle Hire Details:
  • Bikes Available: Avenger, Royal Enfield Bullet 350/500cc (Thunderbird/ Electra/ Classic/ Standard), Royal Enfield Himalyan.
  • Rental for Royal Enfield Bullet 350 will be ₹1500/- per day.
  • Rental for Avenger will be ₹1300/- per day.
  • Rental for Royal Enfield Bullet 500 and Thunderbird 500 will be ₹2000/- per day.
  • Rental for Royal Enfield Himalyan will be ₹2100/- per day.
  • Deposit of ₹15,000/- per bike will be taken in advance which is refundable. Documentation needs to be settled with the vendor.
  • Rider will be charged extra for the spare parts such as clutch wire/plates, chain links, Engine Oil if used during the trip, although our mechanic will be carrying necessary spare parts along.
P.S.: If the rider leave the bike in between the trip then he/she will have to bear the standard transportation charges for the bike. Any issue (Legal or of any kind) will have to be settled between vendor and the client. Adventure Singh will not be held responsible.

Tour Policies
Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation 30 days prior to the trip- 100% return.
  • Cancellation 15 days prior to the trip- 50% return.
  • Cancellation less than 15 days prior to the trip- No Refund.
  • Cancellation policy in case of inclement weather:-
    In case of rough weather, we have the full discretion, whether to go ahead with the trip/expedition or not. In case of cancellation due to rough weather, we will provide you with an alternate trip. The dates and the cost of trip may vary. In such cases following will apply:-
    • Cost of alternate trip > Cost of booked trip: Customer has to pay extra difference in cost
    • Cost of alternate trip < Cost of booked trip: Customer will be paid back the extra difference in cost.
    • In case we are unable to find a replacement for the trip, customer will get the full refund.

Medicines:
  • Diamox (Acetazolamide) - Used as a prophylactic for acute mountain sickness and as an aid for acclimatization.
  • Crocin Pain relief - Relief from pain/ache and fever.
  • Brufen (400mg) - Relief from mild to severe body pain.
  • Entroquinol - Relief from loose motion (Mild).
  • Streptsils Lozenges - Chewable tablets for sore throat.
  • Relispray - Ayurvedic spray for aches and sprains.
  • Lipguard

P.S - Take necessary instructions from your family doctor before taking any of the above mentioned tablets.

Phone service and Connectivity:

  • Almost all the leading networks work during this circuit.
  • Only B.S.N.L works when you enter Spiti Valley
  • Other service provider in roaming agreement with the above two also provide service there.
  • Obviously we will be there during all emergency situations.

Advisory:

  • Please consult a physician for the use of Diamox as it is a sulpha Drug and allergic people may face problem by the use of this medicine.
  • Day One is kept for Acclimatization purpose, Please make sure you don’t physically exert yourself.
  • People having asthma and other cardiac problems, please consult a doctor regarding the effects of AMS and Carry your medicines separately.

We plan our trips with all R&D and make every effort to make your trip memorable and adventurous. We have to take unpredictability of weather and rough topography into consideration as well. Trip cost may vary if the days are extended due to unforeseen circumstances as we have to make alternate arrangements.
