Day 1: Arrival at Guwahati
You should plan to arrive at Guwahati by Noon. We recommend a darshan (auspicious visit) of the Maa Kamakhya Temple. We will brief you on the ride. You will also familiarise with the bikes that would be your partner for next 1 week. (Demo-cum-Training on emergency on-road repairs & maintenance (Enfield).
Same day by evening, Guwahati to Kaziranga
Cruise along the NH 27, up to Kaziranga, Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Distance covered : 200 kms (Approx 4hrs)

Day 2: Kaziranga to Majuli
Morning elephant safari shall start at 6:30 AM, later local market visit where you can find few of the finest wooden sculpture made by locals.
Kaziranga National Park, a world heritage site, is home to nearly two-thirds of the world's Great One-horned Rhinoceros. The park has the highest density of tigers among the protected areas in the world and was declared a Tiger Reserve in 2006. Though sighting of tigers are difficult because of the tall grasses that provide excellent camouflage, their presence can be felt everywhere by way of pug marks, kills and territorial markings. You will also see large breeding populations of elephants, wild water buffalo and swamp deer.
Later in the afternoon will head towards Majuli (The biggest river island in the world)
Tucked in the mighty Brahmaputra, Majuli is the world's largest river island. Majuli is known the world over in academic circles for the Satras (monastery), which have preserved the Vaishnavite culture. With all of its 452 sq km, Majuli Island is hauntingly scenic and beautiful with a tapestry of green rice fields and purple meadows of hyacinth blossoms.
The island is home to nearly 100 species of birds and also people of neo-Vaishnavite philosophy. We advises you to get here as soon as possible. Surveys indicate that at current levels of erosion the island will cease to exist within the next two decades.
Cruise along with the highway NH715, upto Nimati Steamer Ghat & Take a private ferry to Majuli. overnight stay at Majuli.
Distance covered : 155 kms (Approx 4hrs)
Visit to a nearby sand beach in Brahmaputra, visiting the Satras, the birth place of Vaishnavite culture in Assam and the tribal villages.

Day 3 & Day 4: Majuli to Margherita

Day 3: After exploring Majuli will head towards Margherita Via NH2.
Distance to be travelled : 240km (7 hrs)
Overnight Stay at Margherita.

Day 4: Tour of Tea Estate, first hand experience of life style lead by Tea gardeners.

The town was named after Queen Margherita, the then reigning Queen Consort of Italy. Margherita is also known as the 'Coal Queen of Assam.

Day 5, Day 6, Day 7 & Day 8: Margherita to Kohima

Day 5: After breakfast, we will ride into Nagaland. The eight hour ride of 265 km to Mokochung will be over majestic high mountains of the Naga Hills, through deep gorges and lush green valleys. We will cross twisting streams and see the exotic flora of this beautiful land.
Mokokchung is an important cultural centre and is home to the Ao tribe, and is particularly noted for its unique tradition of celebrating Christmas and New Year in the main town square. You will love riding along the village roads that have been cleaned and decorated for Christmas.

Day 6, 7 & 8: Riders! For the next three days be prepared to be enthralled by an explosion of culture, dance, music, art, cuisine and so much more.
We ride to Kohima for the Hornbill festival. We aim to cover the 150 km in 5 hrs. We will stop for lunch enoute.You will learn during your time at the festival about this land of folklore passed down the generations through word of mouth.
The traditional ceremonial attire of each tribe is an awe inspiring sight to behold; the multi-coloured spears and dao (machetes) decorated with dyed goat's hair, the headgear made of finely woven bamboo interlaced with orchid stems, adorned with boar's teeth and hornbill's feathers, elephant tusk armlets.
There is a bewildering variety of food; smoked or grilled to perfection, pork, chicken, beef, fish, leafy vegetable stews and sauces and currries. For the adventurous, there are insects and worms as also dog meat! All of it served with delicious sticky rice. The odd place also serves north Indian dishes, albeit a very limited choice. Every night, there is an ongoing Rock Festival at the nearby IG Stadium. Top bands from Nagaland and the rest of India perform.

Day 9 : Kohima to Guwahati
Via NH29 & NH27 350 kms (9hrs)

Motorcycle Hire Details:

Security & Collateral : Original Doc: Passport, Aadhar, Voter's ID, Company/Inst ID
** Security Deposit / Duly signed blank cheque to be submitted as Security against any damaged to the bike.
We refund the cheque if bike is returned without damage.


  • Carry 2 passport-size photos (addl. 2 for ILP, if you wish to enter Arunachal/ Kohima).
  • Countersign the bike authorization letters - carry one copy.
  • Hand over the collateral documents.
  • Test-ride the bikes; check for any pre-existing scratches and damage, take the Bike Papers.
  • Ride!
  • Return the bikes with the Bike Papers, and take back the collateral.


  • The riders are expected to have reasonable expertise in riding bikes, and are expected to not abuse the bikes on the ride. For breakdown due to pre-existing issues within first 100km - total retrieval and repair costs would be borne by us, and a replacement bike would be offered from pickup location. Beyond 100km, the rider would be responsible for any kind of breakdown/damage, and retrieval/repairs by the organizers would be offered on request as a paid service.
  • On longer rides, riders are expected to maintain optimum engine oil, gear oil level and fuel levels. The riders are also expected to clean and lubricate the drive chain on a daily basis, and maintain proper chain tension. The rider would be responsible for any damage to the bike due to non-maintenance during rides.
  • For serious damages/accidents that invoke insurance claims, the rider would have to pay the immediate total expenses (repair + handling); the insurance claims amount received would be adjusted and the balance amount would be transferred to the rider when the insurance amount is received.
  • NOTE: The rider is expected to disclose any accident/damage to the bike during post-trip handover. 1K would be Charged or any scratch or damage, as a penalty - in addition to actual costs. In case the rider fails to disclose any accident/damage to the bike, and damage is ascertained during post-trip handover inspection, 5K would be charged as penalty - in addition to the actual costs.

Finally, don't get worried about the terms too much - these are just to cover for the worst-case scenarios.

  • One helmet per bike (no charge, except when you scratch the visor: Rs 150)

Cancellation Policy:

All cancellations are valid only when communicated in writing. Any changes due to inevitable weather or flight delays, etc., will be charged additionally, as those prices are not included in the current quote. The cancellation charges are as follows:

  • More than 30 days prior to departure: 100% of the total tour cost will be refunded.
  • 15-29 days prior to departure: 50% of the total tour cost will be refunded.
  • 07-14 days prior to departure: 70% of the total tour cost will be refunded.
  • 00-06 days prior to departure: 0% of the total tour cost will be refunded.

  • Day One is kept for Acclimatization purpose, Please make sure you don’t physically exert yourself.
  • People having asthma and other cardiac problems, please consult a doctor regarding the effects of AMS and Carry your medicines separately.
